The panchabootha sthalas ('pancha' - meaning 5, 'bootha' - meaning elements (earth, water, fire, wind and space) and 'sthala' meaning location). They are Thiruvanaikaval(Water), Tiruvannamalai (fire), Chidambaram (Space), Kanchipuram (Earth) and Kalahasti (Air) respectively.
